MEET AUDIE MCNEIL:

Audie McNeil comes to Remington and Associates with over 13 years experience in the Albuquerque real estate market, including 7 years in high end new construction. She is equally comfortable assisting a first time homebuyer as a fifteenth-time buyer and is knowledgeable regarding the array of financing options for first time home buyers. Additionally, Audie is rather unique in that she is familiar with a broad range of neighborhoods and metro areas including the east side of Albuquerque, UNM area, West side, Rio Rancho and also the east mountains.

Audie especially enjoys working with buyers and finding them the perfect house for what they want to spend. She believes all transactions should be a win/win situation which translates favorably to buyers in negotiating a contract. Her years in the construction industry is a real plus when considering older homes in Albuquerque’s lovely older neighborhoods. She has known Sean Remington for 10 years and joined Remington & Associates in July 2006 to work as Seans Buyers Agent. Audie greatly appreciates the level of professionalism and the amazing marketing that Sean does for his clients and wanted her past clients to have access to his extraordinary marketing pull when selling their homes.

On a personal level…..

Audie grew up in Albuquerque and attended school here until finishing high school in Fairfax County, VA. She then attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. The next 25 years she lived in Berkeley, Portland Oregon, San Francisco, Manhattan, Toronto, and Denver ending up back home in Albuquerque in 1993. She spent 16 years in sales and marketing in the computer industry and traveled extensively in all over North America. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to experience so many wonderful places in America. Ultimately, Audie chose Albuquerque to practice real estate. This decision was largely due to the fact that her parents lived here and were ageing. She lovingly cared for her mother the last 6 years of her life while still practicing real estate. Audie loves to cook, is an avid reader and loves to travel.

HEAR WHAT THIS CLIENT HAS TO SAY ABOUT AUDIE

Audie McNeil knows the Albuquerque market inside and out. Her wisdom, gained from years of experience, enables her to easily assess the worth of a home, based on the neighborhood, floor plan, and upgrades. She also has a keen instinct about people, sensing what they want and need in a home and articulating it often better than they can themselves. Of the three homes that made it to my husband’s and my “short list,” Audie shared her opinion: the least expensive of the three, she felt, most matched all of our criteria. Her interest was clearly in putting us in the best house for us, rather than steering us toward the house that would give her the biggest commission. Unexpectedly my husband and I wound up having to sell our house much sooner than expected, only a year after purchasing it. Audie’s knowledge served us well. We received $165,000 for a house we paid $136,000 for a year earlier. She also worked the open houses for us when we sold, and we know it was her enthusiastic sharing of the upgrades and charm of our house that brought in two offers. Audie is at once a caring individual and a savvy business woman. She treats her clients with respect, helping to navigate the sometimes challenging and often overwhelming task of choosing a home. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a house in Albuquerque. They couldn’t do better than Audie!

Real Estate Tips
Disclosure Laws >Hard Sell

Many real estate listings come from individuals who thought they had sold their homes. Sellers who try to sell their own home learn the hard way that selling a home is not easy. Keeping it sold and getting to the closing table is even more difficult. What are the pitfalls involved in selling your own home?

Face-to-face negotiations can be difficult, even when the buyer really wants the house. Then there is the paperwork. Standard contract forms rarely cover all of the local requirements regarding disclosure laws. Such contracts may provide loopholes which could allow a buyer with cold feet to back out at the last minute.

When you have finally come to an agreement, how can you be sure that your buyers will engage competent professionals to handle their loan and complete the closing? What if structural problems are discovered or property boundary problems are revealed? The experience and expertise of a professional real estate agent is your greatest asset in concluding a successful transaction.
