MEET YVAR TORREALBA
Raised in Caracas, Venezuela, I moved to the states when I was 11 years old. Upon working age, I began my career in hospitality in New Orleans working for the following hotels: The Windsor Court, Westin, and lastly, Hilton. With Hilton, I was a Human Resource Director, and was transferred with the to Punta del Este, Uruguay, to assist in their expansion of their national brand.
After years in South America, I decided to come back to Louisiana to be closer to family. Here is where I began dabbling in investment real estate, purchasing a multi-unit rental building and a commercial property.
One thing lead to another, and before I knew it I had resolved to take a leap of faith and feed my entrepreneurial spirit. I opened my own store in this commercial property specializing in fine antiques, home accessories, and timeless jewelry.
Tragically, after just one year in business the famous Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. Having always been intrigued by the rich culture, intriguing architecture, and sweeping landscapes of New Mexico, I decided to explore the idea of the Albuquerque area. The more I researched it, the more I knew that I had finally discovered my calling.
While researching it heavily, I found myself on the phone with a friendly voice - Sean Remington - as I discussed exactly the type of property that I would like to make my home. Sean helped me move into a home in Sandia Heights of northeast Albuquerque.
As our friendship grew, I casually mentioned my interest in enjoying a lifestyle helping professionals and relocating families such as myself discover just the right place to call home. “You’d be a natural!,” Sean exclaimed. The more I thought about it, the more I knew that I had something to offer to those looking to buy or sell real estate.
Combining my professional background with my passion for architectural design and my thirst to work hard until the job is complete for my clients, I know I can offer you a refreshing approach to real estate. I pride myself on high levels of communication, innovative marketing strategies, and an extremely approachable and friendly demeanor.
